We could not get enough of the romantic and playful atmosphere of Ashely and Leland’s wedding at Race and Religious in New Orleans on Sunday, April 16, 2023. The color palette chosen for Ashey’s vision was out of the box including shades of purple, creamy yellows and a kiss of pink accompanied by an abundance of texture varieties from Spanish moss, painted Plumosa fern and Spirea. The photographs featured in this post were captured by the talented Xistence Photography. Faces of Virtue gave Ashley her stunning look, enhancing her already natural beauty. As guests began to arrive, you could feel the excitement and joy surrounding the union of these two families. The captivating hanging floral installation under the bridge complimented the overall intimacy of the ceremony in which Leland’s mother was the officiant. In true New Orleans fashion, Hacienda Brass Band led the guests through a second line following the ceremony. Black Pearl Catering, Sucre and Creole Creamery all contributed to the delectable reception celebration accompanied by the fun-loving bar staff of Movers and Shakers. The natural wood finish on the tables provided by Lovegood Rentals were the perfect compliment to the whimsical centerpieces and bud vases and lavender taper candles we provided (even though the wind would not let us light many of them). Some of our favorite delicate blooms from this look are the purple Clematis, Butterfly Ranunculus, Sweet Peas and the atypical Scilla. This unforgettable event was masterfully curated and organized by New Orleans native, Ana Belsom Events.
