Heavenly Revelry in Houma

It was a rainy and windy start to the day for Mary Mercer and Seth, but our southern Louisiana skies cleared up just in time for their vibrant and high spirited reception. The couple's wedding ceremony occurred on the evening of Saturday, April 15, 2023 at St Frances de Sales Cathedral and the reception followed at stunning residence of Mary Mercer's parents in Houma, LA. Every little detail was delicately organized and each vendor was skillfully curated by Amanda Price Events.

The week long production began on Monday, April 10th with the delivery and set up of the clear frame tent provided by Doug Olinde Event Rentals. As the week progressed, Olinde Rentals, Tents by Design, True Value Rental and See-Hear Productions constructed the foundation for the event including plywood and turf flooring, chandelier and festoon light rigging, stage backdrop and table and chair rentals.

The floral design and installation began on Friday, April 14th with building the structure for and greening out the multiple floral chandeliers above the dance floor and circle bar (provided by Distressed Rentals), in addition to adding greenery to the stage backdrop paneling.

The home venue began to come to life on Saturday morning with the delivery of the rest of the decor including beautiful blue and white paisley linens by Nuage Designs and other high quality neutrals by BBJ Latavola Linen. AD Event Group provided the floor wrap for the dance floor that showcased the couple's signature monogram, hand crafted by Mary Mercer's grandmother. This special monogram was creatively displayed throughout the space including signature cocktails, napkins and the cake.

The flowers for this wedding were inspired by Mary Mercer's animated personality and the spring season. Bright colors paired with a variety of textures enhanced the home garden atmosphere. Garden roses in various pinks, soft yellows and oranges as well as the majestic coral charm peony were definitely the showstoppers. We love the look of the chartreuse green viburnum blooms, adding vibrancy and texture to the centerpieces and installations. We were blown away at how every piece of this party's puzzle came together to create such a fun and absorbing celebration.

We want to especially thank the Buquet family for their warm and gracious hospitality!
